I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you and all the other volunteers of the Chester Summer Basketball program for a wonderful Summer Season. This was my son's (Jensen) first year and I wanted to compliment everyone involved. I was very impressed with the whole league and how smoothly it ran. Even though my son's 7th and 8th grade team, the Pacers lost the championship game in double overtime it was a great season for all and he really enjoyed himself. I also can't get over how well the player/captains and players all coached themselves and shared playing time. Maybe it works out better when we as parents just let the children play and we sit back and cheer them on!
Again a big thank you to you and your entire staff.
(parent of 7th & 8th Grade Boy)

I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much my son Nicholas enjoyed the basketball program you put on this summer! He had some conflicts with his soccer program but very much enjoyed the overall playing. You run a great program that is enjoyed by all! We will definitely be back next summer!! Many thanks and enjoy the rest of your summer!!

On behalf of my sons, I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation for all of you who made Chester Summer Basketball such a fun program. In today’s world of youth sports, the relentless schedules, over emphasized competition, over involved parents, the unnecessary pressure and outrageous expenses, Chester Summer Basketball has "brought the fun back to the kids".
Your program is owned and run by kids. You have empowered the kids and they not only responded beautifully but they truly love the responsibility of owning their experience. It has been magical to watch more experienced players mentor and encourage lesser experienced players, it has been incredible to notice very little if any complaining by players to referees, what a great opportunity for older kids (sometimes the younger players role models) refereeing, teaching and interacting with younger kids, wow to seeing kids manage their own teams in terms of substitutions and strategies. In addition to the intangibles, the things you don't see such as new friendships, hard falls, amazing shots, and the leadership opportunities that occur - this is what sport is all about! Let the kids play!

Thank you again for all of your time, energy and organization in making this program possible! I am sure there are people behind the scenes who are involved who may not be addressed in this e-mail, please forward this thank you to them.
We can't wait until next summer!
